Frequently asked questions
What sports does Now Playing cover?
We track 26 sports and over 50 leagues: from the WNBA, NWSL, and NCAA to fencing, surfing, and F1 Academy. If women compete in it and it's broadcast somewhere, we're on it.
Is the app free?
Yes! Now Playing is completely free with no ads or account required. Just open and start browsing schedules.
How do I request a new sport or league?
Send us an email at hello@nowplaying.ws We know our app is very U.S. centric currently, and we're working on expanding our reach. (Every time a new league gets added, a lemming gets a jersey.)
How often is the schedule updated?
Daily. Our robots (and one caffeinated human) wake up before you do and check ESPN, Golf Channel, and a bunch of league websites by the time you don your custom embroidered Hilary Knight jersey.
Will you sell Now Playing merch?
Yes! Stay tuned.
Is your mascot a hamster?
Ahem. Scout is a lemming. (This is a sensitive topic for her).
Who makes this?
Your Sports Auntie! I was raised by the likes of Cheryl Miller, Steffi Graf, Mia Hamm, Lisa Leslie, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Michelle Kwan...and many more. I remember when the Seattle Reign was a basketball team (Kate Starbird, anyone?!), the iconic "99ers", and the Seattle Storm's first title inside a raucous KeyArena in 2004. I had my own glory days in collegiate sports and my respect for women athletes runs deep.
